So you found Mick’s Blog have ya?.... Welcome, I shall, at points be creating fantastic blogs about all sorts of amazing topics, but not today.


No, I have done so little today that I find it would be a waste of your time to read it and for me to write it! Let me explain, for that last two weeks I’ve been trying to get a website for the band up and running. It kinda had to be free – ‘cos we is skint, and it had to have the capability to put up an arrangement of media, mainly music and video. I found just the perfect answer in www.freewebs.com. (I’ve not linked that and you’ll find out why in a sec.) This initially looked like the daddy, well laid out –ish (it’s free) would allow Video and Music and it had blog features. Great.

So I set up the title of the site ’MySickMind’ I stick in the tag line, alls well so far..... Then I go to edit the homepage and put in a nice intro for the band, it won’t let me into the editor. ‘OK’ me thinks, so I go to edit a different page, the Members page and it won’t let me in. I go though all the pages and except for the Blog, none of them work, but they are all trying to use the same editing programme, I figure ‘nevermind, I’ll sort it later.’ So I begin to write a Blog explaining my issues in case anyone goes there expecting to see the bands page. Eventually six hours later I get in and quickly run round making the site in about four maybe five hours, not having done a good job, but there is some stuff there. I go down to Rob a bit later, show him the site, I explain the difficulties I had and that the messy bits – mostly caused by bad formatting in the editor, so it’s not even good when it works! Rob said it’ll be fine once all the stuff is formatted properly and after I get rid of the intro page he really didn’t like, he said he had a picture he’d like to use there instead, so I gave him the login details and told him to stick it up.

Two day later I check the site and the picture Rob put up as all over the place, oversized, cropped down one side, so I think I quickly pop in and sort it, but I can’t get in, not for the whole day. I forget the next day, but have another go the day after, still can’t get in.  This leads me all the way to today, where after two weeks I still can’t get in, even now, so I’ve written it off and have began a new site, - Tad-ah

This it has to be said, has been great, a couple of formatting issues and a lack of music upload – although I’m sure I’m just missing a trick there, if anyone does know how to put some up, I’d be most grateful, but you can all download our album anyway and don’t forget to do that, it’s free, won’t cost ya a penny, just click on the link below:
